Believe it or not technology is meant to make life easier! As I sit here in bed typing away on my laptop that is connected to absolutely nothing, I am reminded of how far technology has come. In the rapidly changing world of technology we can easily get caught up in the moment and get left in the dust. What do I mean by that? Are you still using windows XP? Well your soon to be 3 updates behind :). Not that that is necessarily a bad thing, but in 10 years things have changed quite a bit and its not always easy to keep up.
With that in mind, I come to the purpose of this blog: To help people help themselves when it comes to technology. I hope to be able to post little tutorials about how to setup or fix little things (like restore the recycling bin to the desktop... yes im talking to you Mom) and to pass along information that is readily available other places but that I think is worth sharing here.
I know this will probably not be the first time a blog like this has been born. However, I hope that I can make some sort of contribution to the technology consuming public that makes their life easier. With any luck I can keep someone from spending time and money trying to fix something that they can easily fix themselves.
Well its getting late and life unfortunately wont take a break so I can save the world. Tomorrow I hope to post some basics about computer use and how to protect yourself in world where online fraud and invasion are running rampant. See you soon!
